                                WARRANTY & RETURNS POLICY

1. Full Machine Warranty

Chipease provides a 12-month full machine warranty for products used for domestic purposes, effective from the date of purchase.

For commercial use, a 3-month full machine warranty applies, subject to Australian Consumer Law.

The full machine warranty covers manufacturing defects in functional components, including:

 • Engine (excluding damage caused by misuse or neglect)

 • Structural frame

 • Drive system

 • Electric start system (where applicable)

 • Control systems

 • Other non-consumable functional components

All warranty claims are assessed by a Chipease technician upon inspection.

Brand Support

We operate a Melbourne-based warehouse with long-term spare parts availability to ensure reliable after-sales support.

2. What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

 • Misuse, abuse, or modification

 • Operation not in accordance with the user manual

 • Lack of reasonable maintenance

 • Accidental damage

 • External causes (including weather events or natural disasters)

 • Normal wear and tear of consumable parts

Consumable parts include but are not limited to:

 • Blades

 • Belts

 • Recoil pull starters

 • Wheels

 • Filters

 • Spark plugs

Consumable parts are expected to wear during normal operation and are not covered under the full machine warranty.

3. 14-Day DOA (Dead on Arrival)

If your item arrives damaged or not functioning due to a manufacturing defect, please notify us within 14 days of delivery.

We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.


4. Warranty Claim Process

To submit a warranty claim:

 1. Take clear photos of the issue

 2. Provide your invoice or order number

 3. Email Support@chipease.com.au

We will respond promptly and provide further instructions.

In most cases, replacement parts will be shipped for self-installation.

If you prefer to return the unit for repair, shipping costs will apply unless the issue qualifies as a major failure under Australian Consumer Law.


5. Defective Product Returns

If a product is confirmed to have a defect:

 • We will repair, replace, or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law

 • If the issue constitutes a major failure, you are entitled to a refund or replacement

 • If the issue is minor, we may choose to repair or replace

Shipping costs for confirmed major failures will be covered by Chipease.

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.


6. Change of Mind Returns

We understand that circumstances may change.

Returns due to change of mind are accepted within 30 days of purchase, provided that:

 • The item is unused

 • In original packaging

 • In resaleable condition

A 20% restocking fee will apply.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.

If free shipping was provided at purchase, the actual freight cost incurred will be deducted from the refund.


7. Spare Parts Return Policy

Spare parts may be returned within 30 days if:

 • Unused

 • In original packaging

A $10 restocking fee per spare part applies.

Custom or special-order spare parts are not eligible for return unless faulty.


8. Australian Consumer Law Notice

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
